THIS JUST IN!
Literally minutes before we went to press on this issue, two intriguing items of information were telephoned in by Daystate’s main man, Tony Belas. First, Tony told us that Daystate’s sister company, Brocock, would soon be releasing the Bantam, which is basically a buddy-bottle fed Compatto, capable of producing 30 ft.lbs. over 30 shots per charge, or 120 at sub-12, both in .22 calibre. The Bantam is set to retail at £ 689 and will be unveiled at the S.H.O.T. Show in Las Vegas this January. Then, just as Tony was signing off, he said, ‘Oh, and Daystate will be releasing a limited edition rifle before Christmas. That’s Christmas 2016!’ Pardon? ‘Yes, we’ve been working on it for two years and it’s definitely happening.’ That’s it. Tony would reveal no more, apart from a promise to get one to us as soon as it’s available. This is a ‘watch this space’ deal if ever there was one.
