Adapting to the environment

Air Gunner - - YOUR LETTERS -

I am writing regarding your piece, ‘PCP Punch’ in the in the News section of the June edition of Air Gunner. It is great to see that Armex have released the Zasdar PCP pistol, which seems to have taken your fancy. If it is anything like my SMK Artemis PCP pistol, it will be a winner. I have attached a photo of my Artemis with a very important part added. This is the 700 Silencer Adapter available from TR Robb which allows any moderator with a female 1/ 2” UNF thread to be fitted. Tthe part shown above the front sight needs to be removed and substituted with the silencer adapter. This is a simple operation with a tool produced by, and available from TR Robb. I have found that a moderator is a must because the discharge is quite loud.

Keep up the good work

Hello Steve Like you, I like my airguns quiet so that I don’t annoy my neighbours, and having an adaptor that has a male ½” UNF thread opens the door to a huge choice of moderators. I’d be looking for a compact model, so that it isn’t unnecessarily heavy, spoiling the balance of the pistol. Because pistols are lower powered than rifles, smaller silencers work perfectly well. Ed.
