Knives in public places

Air Gunner - - Airgun Guru - STEPHEN JACKSON

I was just reading the latest Air Gunner magazine, the November issue. I would first like to mention that I’m a complete novice with airguns and I’m just dying to get to a club so I can try my best at target shooting. As a responsible shooter, you have to carry your rifles unloaded in a gun slip and the pellets separate, but I was wondering about carrying a knife, such as in your ‘ In the News’ section. With the views on knife crime as they are, how would you explain yourself to a police officer if he found a ‘ hunting’ knife on your person on the way to a shooting session, even if the knife was in with the air rifle?

As you travel to your shoot, keep your knife locked in the boot of your car
