Here’s the final pre- production prototype of the all- new incarnation of Webley’s best- selling Nemesis pistol – and what an exciting version it is, too! In place of the previous model’s single- stroke, pneumatic design, this one runs a boltaction, CO2- powered system, complete with a choice of a single- shot pellet tray, or a twin, 7- shot, magazine. The new Nemesis has a claimed velocity of 420 fps in .177 and 400 fps in .22, and the muzzle is threaded half- inch UNF for a silencer. The 12- gramme CO2 capsule is housed in a chamber beneath the pistol’s barrel, accessed by the hex- wrench tool incorporated in the base of the ambidextrous grip. The grip is hollow and can be used to store the single- shot tray or magazine when not in use.
Add fibre- optic sights, a scope mounting rail, manual safety and the ability to swap the cocking/loading bolt to suit right- handers and southpaws alike, and the £129.99 Nemesis package amounts to quite an upgrade. We’ll be testing it soon, so watch out for that one! Meanwhile, this pistol is set to reach the shops around mid- November, so contact your nearest Webley dealer for confirmation.
