Thug awaits fate

- Court reporter

A Glenboig man who headbutted another male after menacing a woman has been told to return to court.

Peter Hilley, 49, conducted himself aggressively by swearing and issuing threats at a property on Rosebank Crescent in Glenboig on August 30 last year. His actions placed a female there in a state of fear or alarm.

He also assaulted a male at the property by pushing his forehead into the other man’s head causing him to move backwards.

Hilley, whose address was given as Carrick Place, was found guilty of both charges on January 13 and sentencing was deferred to allow him to be of good behaviour.

And when he returned to the dock last week the case was continued to await the outcome of other matters. Hilley is to return to court next month.
