Group AGM The Friends of Dunbeth Park will hold their annual general meeting on Thursday, July 7, in Coatdyke Indoor Bowling Club at 7pm.

Shop closure Old Monkland Parish Church’s thrift shop will close for the summer holidays tomorrow.. A halfprice sale will be held on that day. The shop will re-open in August.

Indoor Bowling Club With the end of the indoor league season approaching, the bounce game summer league season is now under way, and runs until September 2. The club is open on Monday and Thursday from 7pm to 9pm and Friday from 10am to 12pm; cost per two hour session is £3 for current members and £4 for non-members, with free entry for kids under 16. The Clifton Suite is available for functions and events and the club’s AGM takes place on Sunday, August 21, at 2pm. Spiritualist church meetings Angel of Love and Light Spiritualist Church meet every Monday in Coatbridge community centre, Old Monkland Road (in the grounds of St Andrew’s High School) at 7.30pm. New members are welcome to attend; contact Mary on 07436 273128 for more.

Playgroup places Pied Piper playgroup, which is based at Charlotte Toal centre on Dundyvan Road, has full-time and part-time places available on Tuesday afternoons and Wednesday and Friday mornings.
