The wedding of Colleen and Craig Weir
The couple Craig Weir from Clarkston works as a laboratory technician for Q2 Solutions, Uddingston, and Colleen Dick, from Cairnmount is a customer service advisor in Hamilton.
Where they met
The pair were introduced through a friend in April 2010, and went on their first date to the cinema the following day, and have been inseparable ever since.
The wedding
The wedding took place in the Georgian Hotel, Coatbridge, and was attended by 53 close friends and family.
This was followed by a reception in the same venue, where a further 130 guests joined the couple to celebrate and dance the night away.
Attire
The bride’s beautiful gown was designed by Bride To Be, Airdrie, while the groom wore the Weir family tartan from Braveheart Kilts, also Airdrie.
Bridal party
Maid of honour was the couple’s close friend Claire Strange and the other bridesmaids were Colleen’s younger sisters Marybridget and Danielle Dick, and the best man was Craig’s older brother Derek.
Honeymoon
The couple travelled to the idyllic Caribbean island of Jamaica for their honeymoon.

Colleen’s mum’s friend Avril Bowman provided the flowers as a wedding gift.
Cake
The cake was provided by Lizzie B’s Cakes and Cupcakes, Dunfermline.
Cars
The wedding cars were provided by the bride’s uncle, Alex McGrath, who also drove the couple on the day which made it even more special.
Thanks
The couple would like to thank both their families and friends who attended and shared in their special day to make it a day to remember. Colleen and Craig would also like to thank the registrar from Coatbridge Registry office who conducted the ceremony.
