Share stories of care by hospice
St Andrew’s Hospice is asking supporters to share their stories of the Airdrie charity during hospice care week, which begins on Monday.
The nationwide awarenessraising event will celebrate the contribution of all those involved in providing and supporting hospice care, including medics, volunteers, chefs, chaplains, corporate partners and carers.
Hospice staff will be highlighting stories on social media, using the hashtag #WeAreHospiceCare; and is asking Monklands residents to get involved by sharing their experiences at www. st- andrews- hospice. com/ patients-and-families/yourstories.

St Andrew’s chief executive Bruce High said: “We have been providing hospice care for over 30 years and this gives us an opportunity to show the wide range of services provided by both staff and volunteers, and made available to our patients and their loved ones thanks to the support of the Lanarkshire community.”
Tracey Bleakley, chief executive of organisers Hospice UK, added: “Hospice care involves many people with different skills and talents coming together to deliver incredible care – united by their passionate commitment to the special ethos of hospice care.
