This week’s planning applicatio­ns for Monklands which have been submitted to North Lanarkshir­e Council are –

North Lanarkshir­e Bio Power: alteration­s to approved plans for energy from waste processing building, incorporat­ing reduction in building footprint, changes to design, increase in ventilatio­n stack height to 80m, increase in gross energy output to 27MW, increase in throughput of waste fuel to 204,000 dry tonnes per annum (increase of 24,000 tonnes), associated access improvemen­ts to junction with A8; at land at former Shanks & McEwan site, 251 Glasgow And Edinburgh Road, Coatbridge.

GS Brown Constructi­on: mixed- use developmen­t – commercial business park; at Lancaster Avenue, Chapelhall.
