Stars shine at opening of a new physio facility
A new physiotherapy clinic was opened in Coatbridge by some big name celebrities including a champion boxer, a top actor, and a Lisbon Lion.
Healthsure Group hosted a grand opening event and fundraiser which welcomed a host of special guests including three-weight world champion boxer Ricky Burns, star of BBC drama Taboo David Hayman, and Celtic hero Bertie Auld.
They were also joined by local dignitaries Provost Jean Jones and MSP Fulton MacGregor.
The event raised £ 350 for Spirit Aid, a Glasgow-based charity founded by Hayman, which helps children and young people in need. In the run-up to Christmas, the Healthsure Group got into the festive spirit by donating £200 worth of toys to the charity.
The new state-of-the-art clinic offers an extensive range of treatments including physiotherapy, podiatry, sports massage, acupuncture, occupational health services and many more.
Craig McHugh, chief clinical officer at Healthsure Group, said: “We’re absolutely delighted about the opening of our new Coatbridge clinic; housed in a larger, modern premises we’ll now be able to offer customers a greater range of services, all within one location.
“Our experienced clinic team consists of our receptionist, admin team, therapist and a member of our management team who will be on site every day. We very much look forward to welcoming both existing and new customers in the new clinic.”
Healthsure’s chief operations officer Liam O’Neil added: “We’re delighted to be expanding our presence in the local community.
“This will bring additional job opportunities to the area, and we look forward to working with community leaders to make a real difference.
“We are also bringing new services to the area, such as cosmetic acupuncture and clinical pilates, for those patients who wish to explore our private service offerings.”
