Rotarians set to sizzle at charity race night
SAMH fundraiser
The Coatbridge, Airdrie and Monklands Rotary Club is raising the stakes as it looks to raise a sizzling sum for charity.
The kind-hearted organisation is holding a special race night and burger barbecue event on Saturday, September 15.
There are still tickets available for the fundraiser, which will be in aid of the Scottish Association for Mental Health (SAMH).
A spokesman for the rotary club revealed: “It is sure to be a day packed with fun and the chance to place a few bets and enjoy a burger for a great cause.
“Members invite people along to join in the entertainment and the more guests who attend the better as it will mean a bigger final total.
“SAMH do wonderful work supporting people with mental health difficulties and we would be delighted to do all we can to help the charity.”
The fundraiser takes place at Airdrie’s Gaindykehead Farm from 7pm and tickets, priced £10 which includes a burger and soft drink, available now.
Those interested in attending are asked to contact John Brown by calling 07881 527625 or emailing john.brown@talktalk.net
Meanwhile, the Monklands club has also announced its muchanticipated annual ceilidh will be held at the Tudor Hotel in Airdrie on November 17.
The spokesperson added: “The ceilidh is one of the biggest events in the club’s calendar and we are already looking forward to hosting this year’s festivities.
“More information on the event will follow in the weeks to come, with the details being featured in the Advertiser.”
