Drop-in cafes take place on September 4 and 18, the first and third Tuesdays of the month, from 1pm to 3.30pm at Greengairs Parish Church hall. Tea, coffee and home baking will be served, and all are welcome to attend.

Councillor’s surgery Councillor Sophia Coyle will hold a surgery in the community hall tonight, from 6pm to 6.30pm.

Back Brae Gospel Hall The breaking of the bread takes place on Sunday at 11am. Sunday school runs from 2.30pm to 3.15pm. The evening gospel meeting is held at 6.30pm every Sunday, except the last Sunday of the month when the service runs from 3.30pm to 4.30pm. A prayer and Bible reading is held every Wednesday from 7.30pm to 9pm.

Bingo night takes place in the Orange hall on Sundays, with tickets on sale from 8pm and eyes down at 8.30pm. The Lucky Joker will be drawn at 8.25pm. Tickets cost £1, on sale from committee members.

Da Capo music group meets on Mondays from 6pm to 9pm, in the Orange hall on Baillies Lane. Anyone who would like to play the orchestral flute and drums is welcome; contact John on 07525 064303 for more.

Baillies Lane marching band holds its rehearsals on Tuesdays from 7pm to 9pm at the Orange hall in Greengairs. New flute and drum learners are welcome to attend; call John on 07525 064303 for further details.
