App-y days for bus passengers

-

McGill’s is claiming bus travel in Monklands“will get a lot easier”after the firm launched a new app.

Unveiled on Monday, customers can continue to buy GoZone tickets, but now have“a whole range of new features to enjoy”.

These include a live countdown to view when their bus will arrive, plan a journey and find nearby stops features and the chance to view timetables in a new, mobile-friendly format.

The new free app will allow customers to view everything they need in one place, taking the best loved features from both of McGill’s other apps and merging them into one, enhanced app.

Ralph Roberts, McGill’s managing director, said: “We are committed to continuously adding value to our services and the new free app will make travelling by bus even easier.

“We’re very excited about our real-time feature; what a great enhancement, knowing exactly when your bus will be arriving at the stop.

“M-ticketing has been a convenient solution for anyone using the bus and we’re certain that the new app will be an ever greater success.

“Customers can switch their tickets over by downloading the free app and creating a new account with the same email address used for the current m-ticket app; just verify the email link received.

“It’s a must have for all McGill’s customers, and for those considering switching to McGill’s great value services across our network.”

From 10pm tonight, customers must access all m-tickets via McGill’s new app.
