Star shines in impromptu show
Carnbroe care centre residents “had a ball” when entertainer Edward Reid dropped by for an impromptu performance.
The Sikeside home’s staff and visitors were also treated to a toe- tapping medley of tunes, including Tom Jones’ hits, Kenny Rogers’ The Gambler and Neil Diamond’s Sweet Caroline, as well as Edward’s Britain’s Got Talent nursery rhymes act.
He also performed a duet with local entertainer Jim Robertson with both receiving rousing applause from the appreciative audience.
A representative from the care home told the Advertiser: “It was a great day. Edward was a massive hit with all the residents, and their families and friends who got involved.
“We would like to say a massive thank you to him and look forward to seeing his Christmas performance in December.”
