Zoned in to beat win­ter blues

Win­ter is com­ing but the cool cus­tomers at Barged­die’s Safety Zone are do­ing their bit to warm lo­cals’ hearts ahead of the in­evitable de­cline in tem­per­a­tures.

Mon­day is a hec­tic day at the Gair­braid Ter­race venue, with a writ­ing group for those aged 16-plus from 9.30am to 12 noon and a Mon­day Group for the el­derly from 11.30am to 3pm.

Adult Ac­ti­vate for 16-plus peo­ple from 2pm to 3.30pm and mar­tial arts for all ages from 7pm to 8pm then take place later in the day.

Tues­day sees youth groups for eight to 11-year-olds, from 6pm to 7.30pm, and 11 to 16- year- olds, from 8pm to 9.30pm.

On Thurs­days, there is a credit union ses­sion from 6pm to 7pm and karate from 7pm to 8pm, and IT drop-in ses­sions take place on Fri­days from 9.30am to 11.30am and 1pm to 2.30pm.

The busy week ends at the Zone on Satur­days with the chance to bust some moves at the fab­u­lous Ex­travadance dance classes from 10am to 3pm.
