Three teams have continued their 100 per cent record in the Airdrie District darts league.

The Eagle Inn, The Post and Horseshoe Bar all took two points from their games last Monday.

In contrast Workmens A, The West End bar and Boar’s head are all yet to put a point on the board after three games.

The Eagle Inn left it late in their match at the Workmens club who had raced into a 5-1 lead after six singles matches.

A 180 from Rab McFadyean and 19-dart wins for Chris Fawcett and Lee Barber had the Coatbridge side under pressure.

However Tommy Slaven’s side ground out a victory by taking all remaining matches 7-5 to leave their opponents bottom of the table.

In Calderbank, The Post gave The Barnyard their first defeat of the season with a convincing 9-3 victory.

They look to be serious challengers to The Horseshoe Bar who kept up their good start by seeing off the Clansman in Caldercruix with an easy 10-2 win.

Andy Thompson scored a 15-dart win with a 180 while Derek Cunningham showed he was in good form with a 17-dart win.

The Clansman offered little resistance to their opponents, for whom Phil McBride bagged a 180.

Elsewhere, The Swan beat The West End Bar 7-5, The Wilson Arms beat the Bank Club 7-5 and Workmens B hammered the Boar’s Head 12-0.
