Comic guru’s charity cash

Coatbridge comic book creator Mark Millar continues to give back to his community after handing a four-figure boost to a pair of local churches.

The Kick-Ass and Kingsman writer presented Town head and St Bartholomew’ s churches with £1650 each, with the welcome funding coming his Coatbridge Comic Con.

The extravaganza, held in Mark’s old stomping ground of St Bartholomew’s Primary School last month, saw hundreds of comic book fans greeted by sights including a giant inflatable Spider-Man.
