It was a special night for sensational seniors at Airdrie Academy as they were presented with awards honouring their success.
The prizegiving ceremony was hosted by New Wellwynd Parish Church and shone a spotlight on S4-6 pupils.
Academic awards, as well as prizes for contribution to “the wider life of the school and local community” were presented.
Nicola McGuigan scooped the prestigious dux honour with the proxime accessit jointly won by Nathan Morrison, Alistair Sharp, Brandon McIntyre and Matthew Stewart.
The school’s former school captain and vice- captains returned to deliver inspirational speeches and officially hand their badges over to new captain Kyle Hunter and vice-captains Olivia Gallen and Adam Campbell.
An Airdrie Academy spokesperson said: “The prizegiving was a celebration of pupil successes throughout the session, recognising a large number of students in S4-6.
“This is a testament to the exceptionally high standard of results received by this group of pupils who all earned five A’s in the Higher SQA examinations.
“Our thanks go to Reverend Margaret Currie, who led the proceedings, and school chaplain Val Sim for her attendance and support.
“We would also like to say a huge thank you to all of our sponsors – Engie, Cairnhill Structures, Albert Bartlett, Guidis, Millers Coaches and Mary Wilson Flowers – for their generous contributions.”
