Airdrie & Coatbridge Advertiser
Share your views and experiences of tinnitus
A campaigning charity is making a final call for Monklands residents to share their views and experiences coping with tinnitus.
The condition is the sensation of hearing ringing, hissing, buzzing, whistling or humming when there is actually no external sound.
Persistent severe forms of tinnitus can significantly impact on people’s sleep, concentration, stress levels and mental health.
Action on Hearing Loss Scotland is urging people of Airdrie and Coatbridge to answer its tinnitus support survey and provide details about what happened when they sought help to reduce the effects of the condition.
The questionnaire can be done online at www. surveymonkey. co. uk/ r/ ScotlandTinnitusSurvey or paper copies can be requested by emailing scotland@ hearingloss.org.uk or calling 07388 227407 before today’s deadline, October 31.
Action on Hearing Loss Scotland’s director, Teri Devine, said: “We want as many people in Airdrie and Coatbridge who are affected by tinnitus to have the chance to tell us about their experience when asking for information, treatment or support to cope with the condition in everyday life.”
