Pull on your all singing, all dancing silly shoes

-

The stars of sport, stage and screen have voted with their feet to show their support for the CHAS Festive Footwear campaign.

At the glittering Sunday Mail and Steven Brown Art Great Scot Awards on Saturday night, celebrities were lining up to put on their best festive footwear and support the Christmas CHAS campaign.

And here are some of the top names in Scottish sport and showbiz – including the event’s main sponsor, artist Steven Brown, who donned his elf shoes to encourage others to jazz up their footwear on Friday, December 14.

CHAS – Children’s Hospices Across Scotland – is asking all Scots to take part in Festive Footwear Friday to raise vital funds to keep the smiles on kids’ faces.

Slip into your festive slippers, shuffle to work in your sparkly shoes, or rock your party socks – then donate just £2 to help this extraordinary charity.

CHAS knows that Christmas is the most wonderful time of the year for every family and that includes those with children who may be facing their last festive season.

But with their two hospices, Rachel House in Kinross and Robin House in Balloch, as well as homecare support, CHAS helps families enjoy a fun and laughter filled Christmas, making memories that last a lifetime. But it comes at a cost. Just one day’s care in Robin and Rachel House is £5650 each and it costs CHAS £12,750 every day to provide care in hospices, homes and in hospitals.

In December alone CHAS will spend more than £400,000 to make sure children and families get to enjoy precious time with each other.

You can help them reach their festive target, and have some fun at the same time.

Step forward to take part in Festive Footwear Friday, CHAS’ urgent Christmas appeal on Friday, December 14.

Dress up your old shoes or don your fanciest footwear in aid of this brilliant cause.

How to take part? Call 0141 779 6180 or email support@chas.org.uk for your Festive Footwear Fundraising Pack full of festive cheer and sparkling Christmas ideas.
