Genero u s s t a f f f rom McDona ld’s A irdr i e r e s t au r a n t do n a t e d refreshments and fruit to the annual Cultural Football Festival.

Organised by Police Scotland, Nil by Mouth, North Lanarkshire Council and the SFA, this year’s event was held at the Ravenscraig regional sports facility.

The festival has been running for the past two years and consists of a full day event with a seven-a-side football tournament as well as a workshop hosted by Dave Scott from Nil by Mouth.

The aim of the tournament is to help break down many of the mental barriers that divide communities, schools and families.

McDonald’s operations c o n s u l t a nt Caro l i n e Anderson, who organised the refreshments, said: “We are really happy to have been involved with this important event by donating fruit and water and are keen to work with the annual festival in the future.

“The principles of the festival and organisers align with those held by McDonald’s, making football accessible for all.”
