Town hall festive treat

- Ian Bunting

A Coatbridge entertainer has lined up a Christmas cracker of a show to deliver a festive treat for audiences.

Colin Scougall will bring his sensational singing to Sir John Wilson town hall next month – and tickets for the Airdrie concert are on sale now.

Colin, Scotland’s king of easylistening, will be joined by special guests Carole Anders and Peter Paterson of the Grace Notes Choir for a night of “music, comedy and dance” on Thursday, December 20.

Known for his diverse musical talent, crooner Colin performs classic jazz, covers and familiar tunes, while also sharing stories with the audience.

This year marks Colin’s 33rd year on the stage and his love of performing shows no sign of letting up as he prepares for the Christmas spectacular.

He said: “I am really looking forward to performing a preChristmas show at the town hall.

“It’s sure to be a great night of music, comedy and dance and I’ll be sharing a few stories with the crowd.

“I will be supported by special guests Carole Anders and Peter Paterson who are both wonderful performers.

“They will deliver outstanding music to help people get in the mood for the festive period.”

Colin added: “It’s always nice to perform in Airdrie or Coatbridge and the town hall is a special venue.

“I’m hoping as many people as possible come along to the show and help to create a cracking atmosphere on the night.

“People of all ages are welcome along.”

Colin’s festive show gets underway at 7.30pm and tickets are priced £ 15 for adults and £12.50 for concessions.
