-

Airdrie-based charity Cosgrove Care toasted their first anniversary of delivering community care with afternoon tea in Gartlea.

More than 60 people attended the celebrations in Gartlea community centre with staff joined by local families, as well as special guests Playlist for Life, Sporting Memories and Therapet, all contributing to a fun-filled day.

The charity, based in the Airdrie Business Centre, provides home care services to older residents, families and adults with additional support needs across North Lanarkshire.

Elderly woman Mary Greenshields, who is supported by the organisation, was delighted to attend, despite having not been able to leave her home for almost a year following a recent illness.

Heather Gray, the charity’s chief executive, said:“Cosgrove is committed to growing our local services and supports in North Lanarkshire.

“We now support more than 70 older people and look forward to doing more and working in partnership with local services to make a positive difference in older people’s lives.”
