First Bus step up service
First Bus in Lanarkshire has increased the frequency of its services to offer customers “an even better service”.
Improvements have been made to the company’s 241 and 266 services, with each route offering a daytime frequency of every 10 minutes or better, Monday to Saturday.
Sunday journeys will also continue unchanged on both services.
Service 241 will benefit from the delivery of a fleet of brand new Alexander Dennis Enviro 200 buses.
Each bus comes with e- leather seating, USB charging sockets and free wi-fi.
The buses are also fitted with the very latest ultra-low emission Euro 6 engines, making them cleaner to run and, in turn, kinder to the environment.
Graeme Macfarlan, commercial director at First Bus, said: “We are pleased to be increasing our service frequencies in Lanarkshire as this will provide customers with even more travel options.
“We’re also proud to have a fleet of brand new buses operating in the area, taking our investment in new vehicles in recent years to 113 for the area.
“We look forward to welcoming customers on board.”
