Good sports in a class of their own

St Ambrose High honoured some of its finest sporting talent at a recent awards event.

A spokesperson for the Coatbridge school told the Advertiser: “Through celebrating the achievements of our young people we aim to inspire others by valuing their contribution and giving them additional opportunities to shine.

“We now have a platform to celebrate our young people’s talents and hear their voices; Year of Young People-themed events are being celebrated throughout the school during the rest of this year and beyond.”

Among the pupils to be recognised is Cara Hamilton, who was part of Team Scotland Jazz at the 2017-2018 dance world
