three groups split dividend
Three groups are celebrating a share of a five-figure donation from staff and customers at Chapelhall Co-op.
1 per cent of all groceries sold at the village store over the past year has resulted in £15,779 being raised.
These funds are being split between the Moira Anderson Foundation, Elim Befriending Services and Deaf Services Lanarkshire.
Store manager Stephen Provan said: “Over the last year our customers have been donating 1 per cent from the value of their groceries when they swiped their Co-op membership cards through the tills.
“We held a celebration event to bring all three of the wonderful causes benefiting from these funds together to highlight the money raised. Everyone who came along was appreciative of the donations received and thanked the Co-op for its support.”
Staff, customers and representatives of the three organisations are pictured at the store.
