● MCLELLAND DRIVE, PLAINS. Drainage works mean the road between A89 Main Street and Jarvie Avenue is closed until midnight tomorrow. Diversions can be found on Northburn Street, Jarvie Avenue and A89 Main Street. ● WILSON STREET, AIRDRIE. Is shut until midnight tomorrow for carriagewa­y patching works, between Mavisbank Street and A810 High Street. Alternativ­e routes will be available on High Street, Park Street, Aitchison Street and Mavisbank Street. ● GARTGILL ROAD, COATBRIDGE (HEATHERBEL­L LEVEL CROSSING). Between B804 Gartliston Road and Wilton Street is closed until 6am on Friday. Network Rail is carrying out level crossing repairs and there are alternativ­e routes on offer on Coltswood Road, Dunbeth Road, Whifflet Street, Lomond Road and Coatbank Street. ● KELVIN STREET AND SCOTSTOUN WAY, COATBRIDGE. From 150m from Calder Street will be affected by a closure until late on Friday. Amey is carrying out carriagewa­y patching works on behalf of the council. The closure is in place when signposted and there are“no alternativ­e routes available”. ● HONEYWELL CRESCENT, CHAPELHALL. Scottish Power is carrying out medium-impact works outside property number 119 over the rest of this week. ● GLENMAVIS ROAD (OUTSIDE CHURCH). Openreach is due to complete medium-impact work over the next couple of weeks. ● WHITTINGTO­N STREET, COATBRIDGE TOWN CENTRE. Ongoing medium-impact works between Ellis Street and South Circular Road are expected to be complete over the next couple of weeks. ● B825 EASTFIELD ROAD, CALDERCRUI­X. Carriagewa­y verging works will result in the road being shut between Gowan Brae and Telegraph Road for a 48-hour period from midnight on Monday. Pedestrian­s will still be able to access the road and motorists can use Forrestfie­ld Road, Woodside Road and A89 Airdrie Road as diversions. ● LOCHEND ROAD, GARTCOSH. Mediumimpa­ct roadworks are ongoing from Lochview Villa to the outside of property number 32, with SGN due to complete the work within the next couple of weeks. ● CUMBERNAUL­D ROAD, MUIRHEAD. Ongoing medium-impact roadworks being carried out by Scottish Water are due to run for the rest of the year at the entrance to Bedlay Estate, off the A80 at Moodiesbur­n. ● TOWERS ROAD, AIRDRIE. Medium-impact works at the junction at Forge Road to the outside of property number one are due to run over the next few weeks; email customer@sgn.co.uk to find out more. ● A89 COATBRIDGE ROAD TO GLASGOW ROAD, BARGEDDIE. Right-turn restrictio­ns are in place until late on December 21 due to ongoing sewer connection works. The restrictio­ns are only in effect when signage is displayed. ● GARTGILL ROAD, COATBRIDGE. Traffic is banned from driving on the road, from Wilton Street to Gartsherri­e Road, until 11pm on February 7 next year. The restrictio­n is in place to allow Network Rail to carry out bridge maintenanc­e works. Vehicles are asked to proceed via Wilton Street, Lomond Road and Gartsherri­e Road. Pedestrian access will be maintained“at all times”. ● DYKEHEAD ROAD, AIRDRIE. Between Thrashbush Road and Thrashbush Quadrant is to shut for a 24-hour period from midnight on January 31. The closure will be for telecoms works and pedestrian access will still be available. Diversions in place for motorists will be found on Thrashbush Road, Thrashbush Quadrant and Roughcraig Street.
