Messages of support for family of man found dying at new housing development
The funeral of alleged murder victim Mohammad Abu Sammour was held last week.
Caldercruix father- offour Mr Sammour was found bleeding to death at a housing development site in Holytown on October 28.
The security guard died in hospital a short while later, leaving behind wife Fidaa and their four sons aged from 10 years to oneyearold. A 21- year- old man has been charged with murder.
The service for the Palestinian was held in Glasgow Central Mosque on Thursday.
Devastated Fidaa, 38, said: “Mohammad was an amazing husband. He was gentle, loving, kind and helpful.
“I just ask anyone who knows anything about what happened to tell the police.”
An online donation page has been set up to help support Mohammad’s family, and more than £1300 has been raised so far.
Well- wishers can leave donations and messages of condolence on the designated page.
One person wrote: “What can we say to comfort you, dear Fidaa, in the face of your loss, Mohammad.
“Such a sad time for you and your lovely family. May the future bring solace as well as love and respect from your Scottish friends and neighbours.”
Another said: “So sorry to hear of your loss, wishing you strength and the comfort of friends and family at this terrible time.”
A second man, aged 27, has also been arrested and charged in connection with Mr Sammour’s death and is scheduled to appear at Hamilton Sheriff Court this week.
