It was a long night for Airdrie mum Elona Pritchin as her new son Nathan came along at 9.50am.

Nathan tipped the scales at 8lb 3oz and both mum and baby are “doing well”.

The final New Year’s Day arrival was lovely Liam Toner, with Plains mum have a wee sister.” Vicky giving birth at 1.50pm.

Dad Alan was also on hand to shower love on his son – who weighed in at 8lb 9oz.

All three Monklands babies were born at University Hospital Wishaw’s maternity unit.
