-

Albion Rovers hope to recruit goalkeeper PJ Morrison for the remainder of the campaign.

The shotstopper has been a key figure in between the sticks at Cliftonhill this season.

However, his initial loan from parent club Motherwell ended at the beginning of this month.

But the 20-year-old appeared for Rovers in the draw with Queen’s Park as a trialist on Saturday and boss Kevin Harper is optimistic that he will remain with the Coatbridge outfit.

“PJ is still at Motherwell and is waiting for things to develop there,”Harper told the Advertiser.

“PJ has been on loan with us from the start of the season and has done well - so he would be one we are looking to add going forward.”

Former Steelmen youngster Jason Krones also took to the pitch as a trialist at Hampden.

Harper admitted he wants add the 19-year-old to the side following his debut display.

He continued:“With Jason, I think that is his first game in a good while, but I thought he put in an excellent performance against Queen’s Park.

“He was commanding and played really well.”
