Keeper Mor­ri­son tar­get for Rovers

Al­bion Rovers hope to re­cruit goal­keeper PJ Mor­ri­son for the re­main­der of the cam­paign.

The shot­stop­per has been a key fig­ure in be­tween the sticks at Clifton­hill this sea­son.

How­ever, his ini­tial loan from par­ent club Mother­well ended at the be­gin­ning of this month.

But the 20-year-old ap­peared for Rovers in the draw with Queen’s Park as a tri­al­ist on Satur­day and boss Kevin Harper is op­ti­mistic that he will re­main with the Coat­bridge out­fit.

“PJ is still at Mother­well and is wait­ing for things to de­velop there,”Harper told the Ad­ver­tiser.

“PJ has been on loan with us from the start of the sea­son and has done well - so he would be one we are look­ing to add go­ing for­ward.”

Former Steel­men young­ster Ja­son Krones also took to the pitch as a tri­al­ist at Ham­p­den.

Harper ad­mit­ted he wants add the 19-year-old to the side fol­low­ing his de­but dis­play.

He con­tin­ued:“With Ja­son, I think that is his first game in a good while, but I thought he put in an ex­cel­lent per­for­mance against Queen’s Park.

“He was com­mand­ing and played re­ally well.”
