High five for family following arrival of beautiful, bouncing baby Scott

A Coatbridge family celebrated the arrival of its fifth generation with a picture-perfect moment.
Bouncing baby Scott Lees, now aged seven months, added a new branch to his family tree – and became the first greatgreat-grandchild for proud Susan Campbell, aged 89.
Scott and mum Nicole Anderson, 22, live in Kirkshaws; as does Nicole’s mum, Nicola Anderson, 44.
Her father, Davy Campbell, is Scott’s proud great- grandfather; he lives in Kirkwood, as does his delighted mum Susan.
She now has five children, 16 grandchildren, 23 great-grandchildren and one great-great-grandchild – and is still as active as ever with the new generation.
New grandmother Nicola, who is Susan’s granddaughter, told the Advertiser: “Nicole and I visit my gran every week and now take Scott with us; this is her first great-greatgrandchild and she’s just over the moon.
“He’s just a dream – Scott is such a happy wee boy, always smiling and nothing phases him – everyone is besotted with him!
“She says she feels so blessed and didn’t think she’d see the day there were five generations in the family, and she was so happy to see the photo of all of us together and just thought it was lovely.
“My gran is just brilliant – she’s so witty and funny, loves playing with her grandchildren, and also spends time up at her caravan – she’s more than capable and she’s fantastic.”
The family’s five generations were pictured together on the occasion of Davy’s 65th birthday party, held at Celtic Park in November.
Baby Scott was in good company alongside fellow 2018 arrival Connor Campbell, now aged 10 months, who is the son of Nicola’s brother David – making him Davy’s grandson and Susan’s greatgrandson.
Nicola added: “My dad now has five grandchildren and Scott is his first greatgrandchild – he loved having the wee ones there at his birthday party!
“Scott and Connor are cousins and there’s only three months’ difference between them, so it will be great as they’ll grow up together like best friends.”
Now the extended family have more celebrations to look forward to in 2019, as Susan will celebrate her landmark 90th birthday in August, with the milestone falling on the same day as Nicola’s 28th wedding anniversary.
