The youth club is based at Four Isles community centre and runs on Tuesdays from 6-8pm. The cost is £2.50 per child (including tuck shop); call 07722 477226 for details. Sessions take place on Fridays from 6-8pm; the cost is £1, which includes water and fruit, and participan­ts should wear indoor shoes. Their regular activities will resume in January.

The community centre hosts an over60s group on Mondays from 12 noon until 2pm; a toddlers’ group for kids from birth to three years on Tuesdays and Thursdays from 10am to 12 noon; and prize bingo on Tuesdays from 7-9pm. At Greengairs parish church hall is now closed until after the festive holidays, and organisers thank all for their support.

The LLOL 24 will hold a bottle bingo on Friday at 7.30pm; tickets are on sale from the club. Bingo nights are held every Sunday at 8pm, with eyes down at 8.30pm. The Lucky Joker draw takes place at 8.20pm; tickets, priced £1, are on sale from the bar staff or committee. The club will be closed on Christmas Day and New Year’s Day, but will be open on Boxing Day for pool, darts and dominoes. The hall, games room and lounge can be booked by calling 01236 830436.

Learn to play musical instrument­s including guitar and fiddle at St Bartholome­w’s church hall on Fridays from 8-9.30pm. Lessons are followed by a folk music session until midnight. The club will resume in January.

At Old Monkland parish church runs on Thursdays from 10.30am until noon. Tea and coffee are available. It will reopen in January.

The Margaret Skinnider Heritage Centre, based on Academy Street, is open every Saturday from 11-3pm; organisers are asking people to “support their local Irish heritage centre”.
