Airdrie & Coatbridge Advertiser

Help crown our top hostelry

Nominate your favourite Airdrie and Coatbridge local

-

A good pub provides a setting that brings people together, somewhere that can spearhead movements and even help drive change.

And now the doors are open to get your entries in for our inaugural Pub of the Year competition for Monklands.

Whether you are a drinker or not, the heart of a community is quite often a pub.

A place to socialise and wind down, a great local can be the place that you turn to in times of celebration and consolation in equal measure – by bringing people together.

Good decisions a-plenty have started over a pint and a chat in the pub, although there have undoubtedly been just as many bad decisions made there too!

But we here at the Airdrie & Coatbridge Advertiser think the positives of a good local far outweigh the negatives for the community.

And with that in mind, we are asking you to nominate your favourite local from all the great hostelries across Monklands, for the chance to be crowned the Airdrie & Coatbridge Advertiser Pub of the Year.

And while you’re at it, tell us what it is that makes you love it so much.

Fantastic food, a top atmosphere, fabulous, friendly staff or a thirstqueching array of drinks on offer are all reasons to nominate your favourite go-to haunt.

Once we have counted our nominations, the pubs with the most will be put forward into a top 10.

It will then come back to you, our readers, to vote for the pub that you think should scoop the title and ultimately be crowned the Airdrie & Coatbridge Advertiser Pub of The Year 2020.

To enter your very own favourite hostelry, simply visit

and tell us the name of your pub and why it should win in 100 words or less.

And if you’re a pub landlord or landlady, now is your chance to pull a favour from your customers instead of pulling them a pint it – and d get t your punters t nominating!

Have them put you forward for the award and make sure that you are sharing your efforts to win the title on Facebook, Twitter and Instagram.
