RoadWATCH

● LOCHRANZA CRESCENT, CAIRNHILL. Will be closed from 9.30am to5.30pm on Friday to allow for manhole works by Scottish Water. The closure is between Knock Drive and Dundas Drive; the diversion is via Inverlochy Road.

● BELL STREET, AIRDRIE. A waiting and loading restriction is in place between High Street and Stirling Street between 9.30am and 3.30pm from today until Friday. This is to allow access for gully cleaning.

● B803 GREENGAIRS ROAD, GREENGAIRS. From Roadside Place to 125m east will be shut all day this Sunday for carriageway patching works by APS, on behalf of the council. Diverted routes will include Station Road, Airdrie Road, Forrest Street, Stirling Road, Main Street and Caldercruix Road.

● NORTHBURN ROAD, COATBRIDGE. Will close between 9am and 6pm this Sunday, from B803 Waverley Street to its termination, for carriageway repairs; there will be no diversions.

● GRAHAMSHILL AVENUE, CLARKSTON. Mediumimpact works by Scottish Gas from the road’s junction with Drumgelloch Street and its junction with

McGregor Avenue are due for completion this week.

● MCGREGOR AVENUE, CLARKSTON. Scottish Gas is carrying out mediumimpact work outside property 17 to the junction with Forrest Street; this is expected to last until later this week.

● DOUGLAS CRESCENT, GARTLEA. Virgin Media Group are scheduled to begin low-impact works outside property two this week.

● B803 COATBRIDGE ROAD, GLENMAVIS. Between Kipps Byre Road and Northburn Road is shutting from 9.30am to 3.30pm from Monday to next Wednesday, January 29, for carriageway and footway repairs and verge maintenance; diversions include B804 Dunbeth Road, Aitchison Street and Glenmavis Road.

● B8058 PETERSBURN ROAD, AIRDRIE. Scottish Water’s manhole works 100m east of Minch Way will lead to the road being shut on February 2; drivers are advised to use Varnsdorf Way and Minch Way as diversions and pedestrians will still be able to use the road“where practical”.

● MYVOT ROAD, COATBRIDGE. Will be shut from 9am to 4pm between

February 5 and 7. Finco Contracts Ltd, on behalf of the council, is working on carriageway resurfacing but pedestrians will still be able to access the road. Alternative routes for drivers include Mollinsburn Road, Gain Road, B802 Condorrat Road and Wester Myvot Road.

● CARNBROE ROAD, COATBRIDGE. High-impact works in the road’s carriageway and footway are expected to be finished by mid-February.

● FORRESTFIELD ROAD, CALDERCRUIX. Work by BT will result in a closure between Woodside Road and B825 Caldercruix Road from 9.30am to 3.30pm on February 25. A89 Airdrie Road, Eastfield Road and Caldercruix Road will be available as alternative routes.

● VICTORIA PLACE, AIRDRIE. From the extended west kerb line of B802 Cairnhill Road, west to the extended east kerb line of Woodburn Avenue, will be shut until March 8. This is for Scottish Gas to carry out gas mains work and alternative routes for motorists include Hogg Street, northwards on Gartlea Road, Weavers Road, Alexander Street, Deedes Street and Main Street.
