Roads to close in town for works

A series of Airdrie roads will close for roadworks over the next few weeks.

Meadowfield Road in Longriggend is shut until Friday, between Upperton Road and Bridge Street, with Caldercruix’s Woodside Road and Forrestfield Road closed until Sunday, from the A89 Airdrie Road to B825 Caldercruix Road.

Both closures are for carriageway resurfacing works and no diversions are available.

Meanwhile, carriageway resurfacing will see a further three road shut off.

Chapelhall’s Bank View, from Sherdale Avenue, is closing from for five days from Monday, the village’s Cardell Crescent, between Crogall Crescent and the junction with Burn Crescent, will see a four-day closure from next Wednesday, October 7, and Abbey Place in Airdrie will shut for four days from October 14, from Cloister Avenue.

Again, there will be no alternative routes for motorists on all three roads.
