Workshops for small businesses
Online workshops designed to help small businesses in North Lanarkshire hit the ground running as lockdown restrictions ease are on offer.
Following a successful pilot last year, which saw 112 companies sign up to the free sessions offered by Viridor, a new programme has been announced.
The workshops will help participants manage the many challenges faced due to Covid-19 and empower them with practical advice which they can implement immediately.
This past year has brought to the fore the importance of health, be that physical or mental, and Viridor has reflected this in its programme, organising sessions from returning speaker Anita Douglas from Bouncebackability to discuss resilience and emotional wellbeing and mental health awareness (June 3, 10-11am), while a session on the power of routine (April 22, 10-11.30am) will be delivered by Geoff Nicholson from GN Coaching.
Other areas range from intellectual property and funding for growth (May 13, 11-11.45am) delivered by Business & IP Centre Glasgow, and returning to work safely (April 29, 10-11am) by Natalie O’hare from Beyondhr.
Chris Cassidy from Cassidy Financial Solutions will deliver a session on financial planning (April 15, 1011.30am), while Viridor’s own Ewan O’hara will discuss health and safety for small businesses (June 6, 10-11am).
Sarah Bird, community benefits officer at the materials recycling facility in Bargeddie, said: “We are excited with the line-up we have so far and are always on the look out for new contributors, so businesses who think they might have a specialist subject they’d like to share with our community should get in touch.”
