It’s a high PS5 for Ratchet’s return
The Ratchet & Clank franchise turns 20 years old next year — and it’s celebrating its almostanniversary with a cracking return on the Playstation 5.
Exclusive to the new Sony console, Ratchet & Clank: Rift Apart arrived yesterday right in time to occupy any kids fresh out of school for the summer hols — and us older kids-at-heart too.
Like its predecessors in the series, Rift Apart is a sci-fi third-person-shooter/platformer but now with the power of the next-gen machinery to really wow as you journey across the universe — or numerous universes, as it happens.
The game kicks off with our intrepid, wise-cracking heroes being lauded at a parade to celebrate their apparent vanquishing of nemesis Dr Nefarious.
But naturally that state of affairs doesn’t last for long as Dr Nefarious himself shows up to crash the party and in the ensuing chaos Clank’s Dimensionator — a device capable of opening rifts between dimensions — is damaged.
Chaos, of course, ensues.
Cue visits to a series of different worlds jam-packed with highoctane set pieces as you blast away at baddies with an outrageous arsenal of weapons.
This really does flex the Playstation 5’s muscle — and it’s an opportunity they take with both hands.
For PS5 owners looking for their next investment, this should be a no-brainer!
She is tidy and neat and very petite
She has wisdom and grace with a sweet smiling face
She is clever and bold and never grows old
She has been everywhere and loved without care
She has shared out her life through trouble and strife
She just lives to live and will always forgive
She is bewildering and true with an astrological view
She never tells lies and loves to surprise
She creates from the heart a wizard of art
She treats everyone like a daughter and son
She never seeks wealth or fortune and fame
She is out of her time and Martha’s her
