Appeal after woman punched at taxi rank
Police are appealing for information after a woman was hospitalised following a serious assault in Airdrie town centre.
The 46-year-old suffered a serious facial injury after being punched. The incident happened around 10.45pm at the taxi rank on Stirling Street on Saturday, July 10, and she was taken to Monklands Hospital for treatment.
Detective Constable David Williamson said:“this was a serious assault. We are keen to speak to anyone who may have seen what happened, particularly if they were in the taxi queue or walking past at the time.
“I would also like to speak to anyone who may have been driving in the area and has dash-cam footage that could help with our investigation.”
