Last chance to drive off with brand new car

-

Monklands residents are being urged to get in gear as they drive into last chance saloon territory in their efforts to win a brand new car for as little as £1.

The St Andrew’s Hospice Grand Car Raffle, supported by Arnold Clark, is running for another couple of weeks, ahead of the prize draw next Friday, July 30.

Last year’s raffle raised more than £40,000 for the Airdrie hospice so, in these difficult times when many of the charity’s fundraising events have had to be cancelled or postponed, it hopes this year’s raffle will raise vital funds to provide “compassionate, expert care and support for those living with life-limiting illnesses and their loved ones across Lanarkshire”.

Salsburgh resident Ben Mckenna was the lucky winner of last year’s competition and drove off with a plush new Kia Picanto.

Ben told us at the time:“i took part in the raffle to support the hospice and couldn’t believe I actually won the car; I’m over the moon to win. St Andrew’s means a lot to me and my family and I always do whatever I can to help and support the cause because of the amazing care they provide for patients and their families.”

This year, as well as the top prize, a brand new Hyundai i10 se 1.0, there are cash prizes on offer for two lucky runners-up.

Paul Taylor, Hyundai franchise operations manager at Arnold Clark, said: “Community is at the heart of Arnold Clark and we’re pleased to once again be supporting St Andrew’s Hospice with their annual car raffle.

“We understand that the income from the raffle will provide important funds to help the hospice continue to deliver outstanding care to patients and their families at a very difficult and emotional time.

“Good luck to everyone who buys a ticket, and we look forward to handing over a fantastic Hyundai i10 to the lucky winner in the summer.”

Tickets are priced £1 each (also available in books) and can be bought online at https://www.st-andrews-hospice.com/grand-car-raffle/, by calling the hospice’s fundraising team on 01236 766951 or from your local St Andrew’s Hospice shop.
