Diamonds to face Warriors in Scottish Cup

Airdrieonians and Albion Rovers have been drawn away from home after ties for the Scottish Cup third round were revealed on Sunday.

Rovers were held to a 0-0 draw by Highland League Brora Rangers in their second round tie at Dudgeon Park at the weekend and the sides will now replay this Saturday, knowing the winner will face a trip to Championship out Ayr United in the next round.

Teams from the Championship and

League One enter at this stage, with Airdrieonians also facing a road trip.

The Diamonds will travel to League Two Stenhousemuir for their third round tie. Ian Murray’s men crashed out in round two of the competition to

Edinburgh City last season, in a tournament with slightly fewer teams than usual due to the pandemic.

All third round ties are set to be played on the weekend of November 27/28.
