Car blaze horror on Halloween

A car was set on fire in Muirhead on Halloween, with police now appealing for the public’s help to trace the culprit.

The blaze on Drumcavel Road was reported to officers at 8.14pm on October 31.

Detective Constable Katy Goldie, of Lanarkshir­e CID, said:“thankfully the fire was safely extinguish­ed and nobody was injured. We are appealing to anyone with informatio­n about the incident or anyone who may have witnessed any suspicious activity in the area to contact police.
