Kerrbags first goal

Celtic loan star Kerr Mcinroy joked that Airdrie going top of League One is an ‘added bonus’, after bagging his first goal for the club in a 3-1 win over Peterhead.

With Airdrie 1-0 up through Dylan Easton’s opener, the 21-year-old midfielder netted the second in a convincing win with a superb lobbed finish, before Callum Smith sealed the win with a similarly spectacular goal.

And Mcinroy said: “It’s probably an area of the pitch that I’m not normally in, but I’m delighted to get my goal.

“Being top of the league is obviously an added bonus, getting the three points and other results going your way, so that’s good for us.

“It’s a good feeling.”
