Get festive to design constituency Christmas card

Creative primary school pupils from across Airdrie & Shotts are being invited to design this year’s official constituency Christmas card for their MP.

Anum Qaisar-javed is asking youngsters to showcase their artistic skills and create a design with the theme of “Christmas in the community”.

The winning entry will be made into a card which will then be sent to hundreds of key figures, including both Nicola Sturgeon and Boris Johnson.

Mrs Qaisar-javed said: “I’m excited to announce my first annual Christmas card competition – good luck to everyone taking part. This is an opportunity to highlight the skills of pupils from across Airdrie & Shotts, and I’m looking to receive festive entries that highlight Christmas in the community.”

Winners will receive a £30 book token from the

MP as a prize. Entries must be submitted by this Friday by emailing scanned designs to aqj.mp@ parliament.uk or posting entries to 2 East High Street, Airdrie, ML6 6LF.

Participants are asked to include their name and age, and parents are also asked to provide consent for their child’s name to be published should they win.
