Gartcairn will bid for a place in the quarter-finals of the Junior Cup this weekend.

The Airdrie outfit, who play in West of Scotland League Conference B, will host Conference A side Arthurlie in a last 16 tie at MTC Park on Saturday.

They warmed up for the clash with a 4-2 win away to Port Glasgow to stay third in the league table.

Meanwhile, the club are still awaiting the outcome of their appeal after fielding an ineligible player in September’s 2-0 league win over Cambuslang Rangers.

Cairn fielded Joshua Gracie, who was believed to have been suspended, in the match and could be docked three points.
