They’re in the running for Scottish hair salon of the year title

Hair Design Airdrie is aiming to be a cut above the rest after being shortliste­d for a Scottish Hair and Beauty award.

A finalist in the“hair salon of the year”category, the talented team at the Anderson Street business are excited about the chance of being crowned the winner at this year’s glittering ceremony.

The awards will take place in Glasgow’s Doubletree by Hilton on December 19 and will showcase the talents of the country’s top salons and stylists.

The event aims to acknowledg­e and honour the individual­s, teams and salons whose aim is to“provide their customers with impeccable services, innovative treatments and bespoke advice, creating the looks of their dreams”.

A delighted John Campbell, the salon’s owner, said:“it’s been a decade of hard work to develop the salon into one that rivals the best you would find in any city centre.

“We have done this through investing in local people, whilst attracting top stylists to the area.

“We hope to win this award

to raise the profile of Airdrie, its people and the communitie­s we serve.”

A spokesman for the awards said the finalists represent“the industry’s gold standard”who

“meet and satisfy”the demands of their clients.

The spokesman told us:“the awards will showcase the best experts that Scotland has to offer, whose excellence and

commitment have listed them among the top contenders of this year’s awards.

“The competitio­n is really tough, but the hard work and talent will be rewarded.

“We would like to congratula­te all finalists and we can’t wait to welcome all our guests in what will undoubtedl­y be an enjoyable event.”
