Selling Sunset Season

4 Netflix 〇〇〇〇⬤

Watching estate agents selling houses doesn’t sound like the most exciting TV viewing, but when it’s multi-million dollar properties in sun-bathed surroundings while personal dramas abound, you have the ingredients for captivating television. Season four of Selling Sunset has now hit Netflix, with 10 new episodes which my wife and I binge watched in only a couple of days.

The show follows the female realtors of the Oppenheim Group, owned by twins Jason and Brett Oppenheim.

Seeing how the other half live in the sleek, beautiful, stylish, pricey properties being sold, with the most picturesque views imaginable, is definitely a plus point for the series.

But the real heart of the show lies in the women who close the deals on the high-price homes; Chrishell Stause, Mary Fitzgerald, Heather Rae Young, Christine Quinn, Maya Vander, Amanza Smith, Davina Potratz and newbies Vanessa Villela and Emma Hernan.

They put gorgeous houses up on the eye-wateringly expensive market – and don’t have a hair out of place while doing so.

New brokerage member Vanessa was a breath of fresh air, bringing kindness, acceptance and a mindset coach to proceedings.

One of the main story developments in season four was the divide between new mum and fashionista Christine and most of the rest of the cast. There was so much water under their high-priced bridge that neither side could move on from the problems that had separated them, leading to a huge showdown.

The series ends with the reveal of new spin-off shows, which I am eagerly awaiting, and would pay above the asking price to bring the release date forward.

While Covid definitely affected filming, it was only in the background as nothing could stop these ladies meeting with their celebrity and high-profile clients, ringing the bell for a sale, hosting open houses, throwing dog birthday parties and other elaborate gatherings while generally ruling Sunset Boulevard.
