Two cars set alight

-

Two Range Rover cars were destroyed in a deliberate fire outside a home in Coatbridge.

Police are appealing for witnesses after one of the vehicles was set alight, causing damage to the other, whilst parked in a driveway outside a property in Luggieburn Walk.

The incident happened at around 12.45am last Monday, December 6.

Officers say the black Range Rover was set alight which, in turn, spread to the white vehicle and a nearby garage area.

No-one was injured as a result of the fire and the Scottish Fire and Rescue Service attended to extinguish the flames.

Officers have conducted door-to-door and CCTV enquiries and are asking anyone with details relating to the incident, or who could have additional footage, to come forward.

A spokesman for the force said: “Our enquiries have established that a black vehicle attended within the estate area with its headlights off around the time of the incident. If you have any information on this vehicle, please get in touch with officers via 101, quoting incident number 0089.”
