Photographer Andrew’s drone was the key to him being snap happy
An eagle-eyed Lanarkshire man took up photography after catching a birdseye view of nature from above.
Andrew Sommerville’s interest in capturing images of wildlife for posterity were sparked while he was racing drones.
Andrew has always had an eye for the birds and nature and likes nothing better than waiting patiently to capture the “perfect shot”.
He said: “Photography is my happy place and enables me to get out and about. I started off flying and racing drones as a hobby 10 years ago and enjoyed taking aerial photos. That got me into photographing nature.”
He then bought his first digital SLR camera and was hooked. Much of the 47-year-old dad’s photography work involves reflection shots and landscapes.
“I try to get the reflection shots totally natural but sometimes you need luck”.
Andrew’s photos can be viewed via his Instagram account.
