Creative kids designed council cards

-

Talented school pupils used their artistic talents to create North Lanarkshire Council’s Christmas cards.

Primary pupils were set the challenge of creating their own designs for the Provost’s Christmas cards, which were sent across the UK and beyond.

The winning designs this year came from children at Glenboig in Coatbridge, Ballmalloch, Morningside and St Patrick’s primary schools.

The winners were Ellis Steel, Charlie Wilson, Millie Gormley and Charlize Carmichael.

North Lanarkshire Provost Jean Jones said:“we have some really talented young people in our schools, and I would like to thank them for designing our cards for this year.

“All the designs are brilliant and show how creative and skilful our pupils are.

“To see their work in print will hopefully encourage them to continue developing their talents.

“On behalf of everyone at the council, I would like to wish all our residents a very healthy and happy new year when it comes.”
