Dessert is just great way to start year


This is a great dessert for the start of the year – takes a bit of effort, but worth it.

You also don’t need to worry if the sponge cracks a little as it just adds to the rustic look – at least that’s what I tell my family. The choice of liqueur is really up to you – I used a passion fruit liqueur but add Baileys, Kahlua or whatever takes your fancy.
